Livestock

 

 

Alpcot Agro operates five large livestock units in Russia, in Kaliningrad, Kursk, Lipetsk and Voronezh oblasts. The livestock units are located centrally in each of the Companys different crop production clusters, in order to benefit from the synergies between crop production and livestock. The main purpose of the livestock operations in milk production but the Company also operates meat production on a smaller scale.

At 31 December 2011, the Company’s livestock operations encompassed 7,588 heads of cattle, of which 1,988 milking cows, 4,367 heifers and 1,233 bulls and calves.
